Francesco has more than 10 years of off-shore single-handed sailing experience on small sports catamarans and extensive sailing experience on sail yachts:

Jannuary 2007 : Gran Canaria to Guadeloupe, official WSSRC attempt, ended 800 miles from Guadeloupe
Sport catamaran Tornado, 2700 miles, single-handed, no assistance.

Summer 2005: Antibes to Tuscany Islands and back
Sport catamaran F18, 400 miles, 5 days, outward journey single-handed, return journey 2 crews, no assistance.

Winter 2004/2005: Antibes to Italy, Greece, Turkey and back
Sail yacht 33 feet, 3200 miles, 6 months, single-handed.

Summer 2004: Porqueroles to Calvi (Corsica) and back
Sport catamaran F18, 115 miles, outward journey 12 hours, return journey 17 hours, single-handed, no assistance.

Spring 2002: North Atlantic crossing, French Caribbean to Tanger, Morocco
Sail yacht 35 feet, 3600 miles, 23 days, 2 legs, 2 crews.

Winter 2002: Antibes to Cadaques, Spain and back
Sport catamaran F18, 500 miles, 10 days with intermediate stops, single-handed, no assistance.

Summer 1998: Antibes to Madalena island, Sardinia
Sport catamaran F18, 230 miles, 48 hours, 2 crews, no assistance.

Summer 1997: Antibes, all around Corsica and back
Sport catamaran F18, 415 miles, 21 days with intermediate stops, 2 crews, no assistance.

Francesco is also an experienced mountaineer with many years of rock and ice climbing all over the Alps.
Since 1994 Francesco has been working for Accenture, a worldwide leading IT systems integrator, as project manager. His specialty is the management of very large international IT infrastructures projects. As such he has accomplished several missions for large international companies mainly in the finance and retail industries.

He has a master degree in electrical engineering at Ecole Centrale Paris; born in Rome in 1968, Francesco is both Italian and French.
